Goodmans Corporate Restructuring Team: IFLR's "Restructuring Team of the Year for the Americas"
On March 29, 2012, Goodmans Corporate Restructuring Team was awarded “Restructuring Team of the Year for the Americas” at the 7th Annual International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Americas Awards held in New York City.
Goodmans was also separately recognized for its role on two IFLR award-winning deals this year:
- Restructuring Deal of the Year – For its role as counsel to the Ad Hoc Committee of Noteholders of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in connection with the successful completion of Angiotech's (and certain of its Canadian and United States subsidiaries) recapitalization plan.
- M&A Deal of the Year – For its role as counsel to Ernst & Young Inc., Nortel Network Corp.'s CCAA Monitor, in connection with the US$4.5 billion sale of Nortel's patent portfolio to Rockstar Bidco LP, a consortium led by Apple Inc.
