Goodmans welcomes Amalia Trister
Goodmans LLP is pleased to announce that Amalia Trister has joined the firm. Amalia practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on trade-marks, copyright and confidential information. Amalia's practice encompasses all aspects of client counselling and portfolio management including trade-mark clearance and prosecution, opinions, opposition and cancellation proceedings, enforcement, transactional work, licensing, and internet issues.
Amalia is Chair of the National Intellectual Property section of the Canadian Bar Association, Vice-Chair of the Information Technology/E-Commerce section of the Ontario Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Trade-mark Legislation Committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. She is also a member of the International Trademark Association, where she is involved in committee work, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Women's Law Association of Ontario .
Amalia is a frequent speaker at Canadian and foreign conferences dealing with trade-mark issues, including those held by the International Trademark Association, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
