Neill May quoted in "Merger Activity Shifts Ground", the Legal Post
|Area||Mergers and Acquisitions|
Excerpt from "Merger Activity Shifts Ground; Growth by acquisition gives way to the strategic transaction", by Donalee Moulton:
"The two more-pronounced impacts, obviously, were the drying up of the financial purchaser and the unavailability of debt capital," said Neill May, a partner with the law firm Goodmans in Toronto. "Another trend that affected Canada uniquely was the death of the income trust. That was a viable alternative to a merger and acquisition."
