Bryan Flatt is an associate at Goodmans. He practices in the areas of corporate law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and entertainment law.
His recent experience includes representing:
- Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited in its acquisition of Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada Company from Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, Inc., a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company
- Cura Partners Inc. in connection with its $75 million private placement of convertible debentures and Canadian capital market transactions
- Canaccord Genuity Acquisition Corp. in connection with its merger with Spark Power Corp., constituting its qualifying acquisition
- Student Transportation Inc. in connection with its US$1.1 billion acquisition by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Ullico Inc.
While attending law school, Bryan was named to the Dean’s List and spent a semester abroad studying law at the University of Hong Kong. During his articling term, Bryan co-authored a paper on proxy access in Canada proposing recommendations to Canada’s proxy access rules to better balance long-term shareholder and company interests.
Bryan joined the firm as a summer student in 2015, returned for his articles in 2016-2017 and became an associate in 2017.
