Joe Hoffman is an associate at Goodmans. He specializes in municipal law representing both private and public sector clients throughout Ontario. Joe has worked on a wide range of matters arising in the context of land development, including planning applications for large residential and employment projects, minor variance approvals, as well as heritage, urban boundary expansion, and development charge issues.
Joe appears regularly before administrative tribunals and municipal authorities, most notably the Ontario Municipal Board and the Committee of Adjustment. Joe has also appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
While attending law school, Joe was the recipient of the Harley D. Hallet Scholarship and Dean’s Gold Key Award. In addition, he served as a member of Student Caucus, the Legal and Literary Society and as a Dean’s Fellow.
Joe summered at the firm in 2011, returned for his articles in 2012-2013 and became an associate in 2013.
