Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. Raises US$676 Million in Offering

Goodmans acted as Canadian counsel to the Underwriters in connection with Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P.'s (the Partnership) (NYSE: BIP, TSX: BIP.UN) completion of its public offering of approximately US$479 million of limited partnership units (which included the exercise in full of the underwriters’ over-allotment option).
On the same day, Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) also completed the concurrent purchase, by way of private placement, of approximately US$197 million (including the exercise in full of its additional purchase option) of redeemable partnership units of Brookfield Infrastructure L.P., (the Holding Partnership), so as to maintain BAM’s approximate 30% interest in the Partnership, on a fully-exchanged basis.
RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada), Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. acted as joint book-running managers of the public offering.
