Celia Rhea is a partner at Goodmans. Her practice focuses on private equity, financing and restructuring. As the former head of one of the business law sections, Celia has played a critical role in building Goodmans' corporate practice.
Celia has a transactional practice that encompasses private equity, financing, international mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, restructuring and workouts, asset and share acquisitions and dispositions and financings for both borrowers and lenders. She joined Goodmans in 1988 and has been a partner since 1992.
Celia has appeared on the TVOntario television program for entrepreneurs, Starting Up, where she examined some of the legal issues surrounding the launch of a business. She has chaired the professional development lending transaction seminar for Osgoode Hall's continuing education program and has participated in the model negotiation segment of Osgoode's annual transactions seminar and lead negotiating workshops both within the firm and for Insight.
