Stephen Pincus, a lawyer at Goodmans in Toronto, says "institutional investors are not going to be keen on investing in some of the smaller trusts unless there is a significant opportunity for growth." So some trusts that convert will have dificulty attracting the liquidity neded to trade at high valuations. "It won't make sense for some of the small ones to stay in the public form," so he expects some to be sold or go private."
