Ken Crofoot is General Counsel of Goodmans LLP and as such is involved in all aspects of professionalism involving the firm including insurance, risk management, conflicts, and ethics. In addition, Ken is a partner in the Litigation Group at Goodmans. He has expertise in commercial, construction, banking and insolvency litigation.
He has been involved as counsel in a number of arbitrations and mediations, including commercial disputes, joint venture disputes, partnership disputes, insurance loss determinations, bankruptcy claim valuations and construction project disputes. Ken has completed the training in negotiation and mediation at the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard Law School and is available to act as a fully qualified mediator.
Ken has practised law at Goodmans since joining as a summer student in 1981.
Ken is recognized as a leading construction lawyer by Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He has written numerous articles and has spoken widely at continuing legal education seminars on aspects of construction law and practice. Ken is the editor of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers' “Legal Updates” publication.
