Yonca Umur Osborne is an associate in a business law group at Goodmans. She is developing a broad multidisciplinary practice in the areas of corporate law and regulatory matters. Yonca advises private and public companies in relation to mergers and acquisitions, securities, and corporate governance, including continuous disclosure obligations. In 2019, she completed a secondment to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
As a member of the firm’s Entertainment Law Group, Yonca also advises clients on issues related to intellectual property, production legal, contract drafting and negotiation, E&O, influencer partnerships, and social media.
Before joining Goodmans, Yonca received her JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. While at law school, she spent a semester abroad at Georgetown University Law Center’s Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, England and earned a Certificate in Transnational Legal Studies. Before attending law school, Yonca received her Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction and as the Sanford Gold Medalist, while simultaneously working as a Technical Specialist at a prominent global tech company.
