Construction and Infrastucture
Goodmans’ construction and infrastructure team is regarded as one of the country’s best at handling all types of construction law, including contractual disputes, liens, disputes between design professionals and contractors and disputes between contractors and subcontractors.
We have a solid track-record in all aspects of construction, from the conception of a project to completion. When clients decide to build, we have the expertise to prepare all the necessary construction contracts – with design consultants, joint venture agreements, subcontracts and EPC design/build agreements.
We appreciate the clients’ need for fast, effective results. We assist clients on site to put measures in place to prevent potential litigation as well as measures that will best position them for unavoidable litigation. When disputes arise we have skill in alternate dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
When a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, we have the know-how to take a project from the site to the court. Members of the Construction Law group have appeared in the Ontario Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Our lawyers are actively involved in the construction industry and are frequent speakers at conferences and publish regularly. Our group is consistently recognized as one of the strongest in the country, and has earned this reputation by delivering effective solutions with the best possible service.
