Goodmans is pleased to announce that Cal Goldman and Richard Corley have joined the firm as partners. Both are highly-respected and recognized as leading authorities in Canada.
Cal has represented parties on a number of Canada’s most significant merger transactions and provided counselling on all aspects of Canadian competition law including abuse of dominance, cartels and trade practices and representation on foreign investment regulatory reviews under the Investment Canada Act. He was also the first Commissioner of the Competition Bureau under the existing provisions of the Competition Act.
Richard has over 25 years of experience advising on complex outsourcing transactions, joint ventures, cleantech and other technology acquisitions and technology-related competition law matters. He has also worked closely with the Bureau to develop competition guidelines for intellectual property and the Internet. Richard’s practice complements our existing technology practice and will better position us to address the increasingly significant information technology and cleantech sectors.
