Goodmans and Wachtell represent Newmont/Franco Nevada in the largest mining IPO in North American history

On December 20, 2007, Franco-Nevada Corporation announced the closing of its initial public offering, the start of official trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the purchase of the royalty portfolio and certain other interests from Newmont Mining Corporation for a purchase price of US$1.2 billion.
Goodmans represented Franco-Nevada Corp in connection with its initial public offering of 72 million common shares at a price of C$15.20 per common share. Goodmans also represented Franco-Nevada in connection with a US$150 million credit facility (the "New Credit Facility") with Bank of Montreal and UBS Securities LLC.
