With an already historic amount of dry powder, or unspent funds earmarked for PE real estate investments, as the year goes on fund managers will have no choice but to put money to work, even if it means paying a premium.
“The money invested with fund managers has to be deployed at some point,” said Jeff Shore, a partner at Canadian corporate law firm Goodmans LLP who focuses on commercial real estate law. “It needs to find a home.”
