Michael Franzolini is a land use planner in the Municipal and Land Use Planning Law Group at Goodmans. Michael assists with the assessment of the development potential of property, and the preparation and submission of development applications including zoning by-law amendments, plans of subdivision, minor variances, consents and site plan approvals. He conducts research on provincial and municipal planning policy and provides expertise on both Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area land use matters. He also assists with attendances before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and Toronto Local Appeal Body, as well as due diligence on commercial real estate transactions. Michael also assists in the preparation of draft by-laws, notices and appeal/hearing materials such as document books.
Michael graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies, and Queen's University with a Master's of Urban and Regional Planning. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Engineering, and is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate. Michael joined Goodmans in 2017.
