Richard Corley serves as counsel in a business law group at Goodmans and leads the firm’s Cleantech and Outsourcing Groups.
His practice is transaction based with a particular focus on strategically valuable technologies. Richard has over 25 years of experience advising clients on complex outsourcing transactions, technology M&A, joint ventures, cleantech and other technology-related matters. He assists companies in the financial services, manufacturing, clean energy, public, computing, telecommunications, innovation, and other sectors which are involved in the development, acquisition, and use of technology.
REPRESENTATIVE WORK
Richard’s representative work includes acting for:
- Dye & Durham Limited in connection with its $500 million acquisition of TELUS' Financial Solutions Business
- Interac Corp. in connection with its acquisition of 2Keys Corporation and other technology-related matters
- Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) in the procurement and negotiation of agreements of a new player platform system and related services
- Maple Corporation, the leading telemedicine provider in Canada, in connection with Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.’s $75 million investment in the company
- Panasonic Canada in connection with commercial technology matters
- OLG in the procurement and negotiation of agreements for new lottery terminals, a new retailer network and related services
- clients in the financial services, health care, commodities, food, beverage, retail, construction and other sectors in the procurement and negotiation of major outsourcing agreements and ERP implementation agreements

Richard is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and seminars on cleantech, outsourcing, procurement and other technology-related topics.
