AMC Networks, Shaftesbury strike strategic partnership

Goodmans LLP acted for Shaftesbury in connection with it’s strategic partnership with AMC Networks (“AMC”).

Through this investment in Shaftsbury, AMC, a global entertainment company, will gain access to the award-winning production company’s slate as well as expand AMC Network’s content and development capabilities in Canada, according to a press release announcing the news.

The partnership creates growth for both its existing and future slate of content across all genres and creates more opportunities for Canadian creators.

Shaftesbury and its shareholders were advised on this strategic investment by RBC Capital Markets, according to a release. Financial terms were not disclosed.
