Horizon Partners opposes TransGlobe Energy Corporation's merger with VAALCO Energy, Inc.

Horizon Partners urged all shareholders of TransGlobe to vote against the proposed plan of arrangement pursuant to which Vaalco would acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of TransGlobe in a stock-for-stock business combination transaction (the "Proposed Transaction").

On October 14, 2022, TransGlobe announced that it has now closed its previously announced merger with VAALCO Energy, Inc. by way of plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") pursuant to Section 193 of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta).
