Goodmans LLP acts for Blink49 Studios, a new Canadian-controlled studio venture backed by Endeavor Content.

John Morayniss, the former head of Entertainment One’s television business, and three other former eOne execs co-founded Blink49 with financing from Endeavor Content. Goodmans acted as Blink49’s Canadian legal advisor on the transaction.

Blink49 is a Canadian entity, with offices in Toronto and LA, which focusses on developing and producing scripted and unscripted programming for the Canadian, US and international markets.

The Canadian Morayniss, who left eOne three years ago, is the CEO of Blink49, together with fellow Canadian executives Nelson Kuo-Lee, who is the CFO and Jeff Lynas, who is the COO.

The company is currently deploying its capital to make strategic investments in Canadian production companies focusing on both scripted and unscripted programming across all genres and formats.
