Rogers Communications Acquires Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises Wireless (Mobilicity)

Goodmans represented the Ad Hoc Committee of Mobilicity Noteholders in connection with the acquisition of Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc., an operating subsidiary of Mobilicity by an affiliate of Rogers Communications Inc. in a transaction valued at $465 million.  

Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc., a Canadian wireless telecommunications carrier, commenced creditor protection proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in September 2013.  This transaction offered significant value to the creditors of Mobilicity and allowed Data & Audio-Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc. to emerge from creditor protection as a going concern.
