CoinSmart Debuts on the NEO Exchange Market
CoinSmart Financial Inc. (Coinsmart), a Canadian built cryptocurrency trading platform founded in Toronto in 2018 that boasts a secure and intuitive platform for buying and selling cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar and Dogecoin. CoinSmart was designed to break down barriers to participation in cryptocurrency transactions and focuses on educating and informing potential investors.
CoinSmart is part of a small number of Canadian crypto-platforms to be approved by securities regulators to operate in Canada. CoinSmart is currently regulated by Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) and is registered as a trading platform with the Ontario Securities Commission, joining the likes of WealthSimple, Coinberry and Netcoin. CoinSmart Financial Inc. (CoinSmart) is now listed and trading on the NEO Exchange under the symbol SMRT. According to Justin Hartzman, CEO of CoinSmart, the CoinSmart team has big plans for the near future, “Over the next 18 months, CoinSmart has plans to make cryptocurrency accessible to new entrants and experienced crypto enthusiasts alike. Being registered in multiple jurisdictions and striving for a global footprint, we are poised to be the venue of choice for a full suite of crypto related products and beyond.”
This listing is another example of the interest in this burgeoning area of the market. It will be interesting to follow these platforms as they become regulated and a larger part of the Canadian capital markets.
