Digital Collectibles and Sports: Dapper Labs’ NBA Top Shot Surpasses the Million-User Mark
As the broader non-fungible token (“NFT”) market gradually cools down from its unsustainable high, Top Shot has continued its rapid growth. Between 150,000 to 250,000 users log in daily and overall, the platform now boasts 1 million users. Top Shot’s steady daily user count coupled with many small-dollar figure transactions illustrates how the platform continues to revolutionize the industry, setting the foundation to become a mainstream hit.
On March 30th 2021, it was reported that Top Shot completed a US$305 million financing led by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, sports and investing. NBA legend Michael Jordan is the biggest name out of the large pool of athlete investors.
Dapper Labs is positioning itself to capture continued success from Top Shot’s wealth of users. Top Shot is revolutionizing the fan experience and is working towards monetizing the growing global community of NBA fans.
