Brennan Caldwell is an associate in the Restructuring Group at Goodmans, which is consistently and widely recognized as Canada’s leading corporate restructuring practice. 

Brennan is developing her practice in the areas of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on corporate restructurings and related transactions. 

Prior to joining Goodmans, Brennan received her J.D. from Queen’s University. During law school she was named to the Dean’s Honour List and won numerous awards, including the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize in Corporations and Taxation and the Queen’s Law Prize in the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic. 

Featured Work

Brennan’s representative work includes acting for:
  • Monitor counsel on a number of commercial insolvency restructurings including Harte Gold Corp. and MJardin Group, Inc
  • Representing an ad hoc committee of Crystallex International Corporation’s bondholders and Computershare Trust Company of Canada in its capacity as trustee in Crystallex’s ongoing CCAA proceedings
  • Acting for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in connection with a number of financings pursuant to its Rental Construction Financing Initiative

Brennan is the co-author of the Canada Chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide to Restructuring and Insolvency 2022.
