Ken Crofoot is a partner and the General Counsel at Goodmans. He is Chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Ken is responsible for all risk management and professionalism matters at the firm. This includes insurance, conflicts, ethics, retainer agreements, firm policy development, and education with respect to risk management and professionalism. Before assuming the position of General Counsel, Ken was a member of the Dispute Resolution Group practising in the areas of commercial, construction, and insolvency litigation.
He has been involved as counsel in a number of arbitrations and mediations, including commercial disputes, joint venture disputes, partnership disputes, insurance loss determinations, bankruptcy claim valuations and construction project disputes.
Ken is
recognized as a leading construction lawyer by Best Lawyers in Canada, The
Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and the Lexpert Special Edition: Infrastructure.
Ken is a
Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers (Past President). He has
written numerous articles and has spoken widely at continuing legal education
seminars on aspects of construction law and practice.
He is the
Chair of the Advisory Board of the Canadian Lawyers Liability Assurance Society.
