Overview

Mark Spiro is a partner in a business law group at Goodmans.

His practice involves all aspects of corporate and commercial law. Mark advises public and private companies on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, going-private, capital raising, corporate reorganizations and private equity transactions. Mark also regularly advises clients on complex commercial transactions and drafts and negotiates a variety of commercial agreements for companies operating in a broad range of industries.

Mark has been involved in a number of contested shareholder matters, including proxy contests, representing both dissident shareholders and boards of directors. 

In addition to transactional work, Mark provides ongoing advice to clients on matters relating to continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance, legislative compliance and general corporate law.

Mark is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law.
