Carly Caruso serves as counsel in the Real Estate Group at Goodmans. Her practice focuses on highly structured commercial real estate transactions, with particular expertise in complex leasing structures, institutional and infrastructure-related assets, real estate private equity and joint venture arrangements, and the real estate aspects of significant corporate transactions.
Carly regularly advises institutional investors and leading market participants, including pension funds, REITs, developers, lenders, universities and airport operators, on the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of a broad range of real estate assets. She is recognized for her ability to navigate sophisticated and bespoke ground leasing and operating arrangements in specialized sectors, particularly in connection with university, airport and infrastructure and energy platforms, where real estate, operational and strategic considerations intersect.
Her practice includes advising on complex development and infrastructure projects, joint ventures and co-ownership arrangements, portfolio and asset-level financings, and sophisticated commercial leasing arrangements for institutional and owner-operator clients. She is frequently engaged on matters requiring coordination across real estate, corporate, financing and operational workstreams, particularly where transactions involve long-term strategic assets or specialized operating environments.
Prior to joining Goodmans, Carly practiced in the real property and planning group at a leading national law firm.
