Shazia Banduk is the Director of Professional Development at Goodmans, as well as the Firm's Interim Co-Director, Legal Talent.
In her role as Director, Professional Development, Shazia is responsible for the continuing legal education, professionalism, skills development and diversity & inclusion programs for our lawyers and law students. She also leads the firm’s client-facing education initiatives through our Goodmans Presents program.
As the Interim Co-Director, Legal Talent, Shazia works with fellow Co-Director Michel Lederman, together leading the firm’s legal talent and management efforts, and managing all aspects of our student, associate and law clerk programs including managing recruitment, mentorship, professional development advancement, and performance management.
Shazia summered and articled at Goodmans before practicing corporate law for several years as an associate, and then practiced as an in-house lawyer at a prominent global accounting firm for several years. She received her honours B.A. from Ivey Business School at Western University, her J.D. from Western University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011.
