Carlyle launches new renewables platform with Amp Energy carve-outs

Goodmans LLP acted for Amp Energy in connection with the carve-out of its Australian and UK portfolios of power generation and storage assets by global investment firm, Carlyle. 

Carlyle has launched a new clean energy and infrastructure platform, Revera Energy, with a current portfolio of housing projects carved out and acquired from Amp Energy. Revera Energy will focus on developing, building, owning and operating renewable energy, energy storage and green hydrogen projects in Australia and the UK.

Amp is a leading global power developer, owner and operator of clean energy assets. In 2021, Amp received a US$374 strategic growth investment commitment from The Carlyle Group.
