Goodmans LLP acted for OverActive Media in connection with its acquisition of three separate eSports franchises:

  • Toronto Defiant in Overwatch League
  • Toronto Ultra in the Call of Duty League
  • Splyce in League of Legends (Europe).

OverActive Media is the largest eSports company in Canada and one of the only organizations in the world that owns a franchise in each of three franchised eSports leagues – Overwatch, League of Legends, and Call of Duty.

Goodmans LLP also acted for OverActive Media in connection with its acquisition of MAD Lions, an eSports organization in Spain.
