Project 8 Sports launches Northern Super League, Canada's professional women's soccer league

Goodmans LLP advised Project 8 Sports Inc. in connection with the creation of the Northern Super League, a planned Division I professional women's soccer league in Canada.

Project 8 Sports Inc. is co-founded by Diana Matheson, former Canada women's national soccer team player, and Thomas Gilbert. The Northern Super League plans to launch in April of 2025, with its inaugural clubs based in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Halifax. The League will help fulfill Canada’s longtime need for a women’s professional circuit.
