Royal Bank of Canada finances £2.4 billion acquisition of Just Group by Brookfield Wealth Solutions

Goodmans LLP advised a syndicate of lenders led by Royal Bank of Canada, as agent, in connection with its financing of a £2.4 billion recommended cash offer for Just Group plc (Just Group) by Brookfield Wealth Solutions (BWS).

The acquisition of Just Group significantly expands BWS’ U.K. presence and international operations and increases its global insurance assets under management to approximately $180 billion.

Canada-based BWS was spun off from Brookfield Corporation in 2021. BWS provides retirement services, wealth protection products, and capital solutions to individuals and institutions.
