Welltower to acquire Amica Senior Lifestyles portfolio for $4.6 billion

Goodmans LLP is advising Welltower Inc. in connection with its announced acquisition of a portfolio of senior housing communities from Amica Senior Lifestyles and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for aggregate consideration of $4.6 billion. The portfolio consists of 38 luxury seniors housing communities and nine entitled development parcels.

In conjunction with the transaction, Welltower also announced the formation of a long-term strategic partnership with Amica Senior Lifestyles, a preeminent seniors housing owner/operator of category-defining luxury communities with a long-term track record of substantial value creation through superior operational and development acumen.
