Aristotle once said, "All persons ought to endeavor to follow what is right, and not what is established." While this is a noble thought, it is difficult to adhere to in practice.  As lawyers, we rely on convention to guide us through the complex array of ethical issues we face on a regular basis.  We are held by each other, and society at large, to a strict moral standard based not only on the law, but on our own set of professional rules and values.
