Goodmans Partners Joe Cosentino and Brad Halfin will be speaking at the OGCA 15th Construction Symposium. Their session, “Construction Liens and Insolvency - Recent Developments and Knowing Your Rights”, will be on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th, 2026, at 9:00 – 10:00AM in Blue Mountain.

This session will explore recent cases and insolvencies that have affected the rights and entitlements of lien claimants. Joe and Brad will discuss how lien and trust claims rank against debts owed to secured lenders and other creditors, and what happens to holdback funds. The session will also provide practical guidance on how contractors can best protect themselves when working with an insolvent contracting party or owner.
