Goodmans is pleased to announce that Joanna Rosengarten has joined the firm as counsel in our Environmental Group.
Joanna has a wealth of knowledge and expertise on a broad range of environmental legal matters, including corporate transactions, large projects involving environmental issues, and defense of environmental prosecutions. She regularly advises clients on compliance with environmental legislation, environmental permitting issues, federal and provincial environmental assessments, environmental liability, and the rehabilitation and redevelopment of contaminated sites.
Joanna also practices in the area of climate change, ESG, and energy law, assisting clients with greenhouse gas reporting compliance, negotiating and drafting emissions trading agreements, undertaking ESG due diligence, advising on issues related to obligations arising under federal and provincial greenhouse gas legislation, carbon offsets and developing strategies to meet net-zero commitments.
