Kelly Zhang
is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans. Her
practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on intellectual
property disputes.
Kelly has experience in patent litigation, including cases under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, and has appeared before the Federal Court. Prior to joining Goodmans in 2025, she practiced at a boutique firm specializing in patent disputes.
Kelly completed a clerkship at the Federal Court with the Honourable Madam Justice Pallotta. During her clerkship, Kelly was awarded best respondent factum and was a finalist in the oral rounds of the Exchequer Cup Moot held among the law clerks of the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. She also received second place for best respondent factum in the 2020 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot.
While in law school, Kelly was a senior associate editor of the Queen’s Law Journal and a caseworker at the Queen’s Business Law Clinic.
