Overview
Tommy Friedlich is an associate in the Tax Group at Goodmans.
His practice encompasses all aspects of income taxation arising in corporate and commercial transactions. He advises on a broad range of matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and corporate reorganizations.
Tommy first joined Goodmans as a summer student in 2021 and, after articling with the firm, became an associate in 2023.

- Onex Partners in connection with the acquisition of AirSprint Inc. by Onex and its co-investors.
- GTCR LLC in connection with its acquisition of dentalcorp Holdings Ltd. by way of a plan of arrangement in a transaction that values Dentalcorp at approximately C$2.2 billion on an equity value basis.
- WestJet Airlines Ltd. and its controlling shareholder, Onex Corporation, in connection with the sale of Onex’s minority stakes in WestJet to Delta Air Lines and Korean Air.
- Doman Building Materials Ltd. in connection with a C$265 million offering of high yield notes and a C$100 million follow-on offering of notes.
