Overview

Waseem Jarjis is an associate in the Banking and Finance Group at Goodmans.

His practice focuses on debt finance and corporate transactions, with an emphasis on corporate lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance, secured lending and cross-border transactions. Waseem is also developing his practice within the firm’s Aging & Healthcare group, advising on financing matters in this sector.

Waseem is an avid supporter of MOvember, and has participated annually for over a decade to raise funds for men’s health initiatives.

Waseem is recognized as a "Leading Associate" in banking and finance by The Legal 500 Canada.

A consortium that included CLV Group Inc. in partnership with GIC, in connection with the acquisition of InterRent REIT in a C$4 billion all-cash transaction.
Welltower Inc. in connection with its acquisition of a portfolio of senior housing communities from Amica Senior Lifestyles and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for C$4.6 billion.
GTCR LLC in connection with its acquisition of dentalcorp Holdings Ltd. by way of a plan of arrangement in a transaction that values Dentalcorp at approximately C$2.2 billion on an equity value basis.
MDA Space Ltd. in connection with its private placement offering of C$600 million senior unsecured notes and its C$700 million senior secured syndicated bank credit facilities.
Onex Partners in connection with the acquisition of AirSprint Inc. by Onex and its co-investors.
Organigram Global Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Sanity Group GmbH for €107.3 million and the related C$65.2 million follow-on strategic equity investment by a subsidiary of British American Tobacco.
