Dream Residential REIT acquired by Morgan Properties for C$491 million

Goodmans LLP acted for the Special Committee of Dream Residential REIT in connection with its acquisition by Morgan Properties in an all-cash transaction for approximately C$491 million.

The transaction is part of a strategic review by the Dream Residential board, and supports the underlying value of the Dream’s real estate while provides its unitholders with liquidity and value certainty.

Dream Residential REIT is a Canadian real estate investment trust with a portfolio of garden-style multi-residential properties, primarily located in three markets across the Sunbelt and Midwest regions of the United States.
