Kilmer Sports Inc. to sell 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to Rogers Communications Inc. for C$4.35 billion

Goodmans LLP is counsel to Kilmer Sports Inc., controlled by Lawrence M. Tanenbaum, in connection with its agreement to sell its 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) to Rogers Communications Inc. for C$4.35 billion.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

During Kilmer Sports Inc.’s nearly three decades as an MLSE owner, the organization grew into one of North America’s premier sports and entertainment companies, highlighted by, among other milestones, the Toronto Raptors’ historic first NBA Championship in 2019.
