Quebecor Inc. Acquires Freedom Mobile Inc. from Shaw Telecom G.P. for C$2.9 billion

Goodmans LLP acted for Rogers Communications Inc. in connection with the entering into of a purchase agreement for Quebecor Inc. (TSX:QBR.A) to acquire Freedom Mobile Inc. from Shaw Telecom G.P. for C$2.9 billion.

The Freedom Transaction consists of the acquisition of all of the outstanding shares of Freedom Mobile Inc., including the acquisition of all Freedom-branded wireless and Internet customers, as well as all of Freedom's infrastructure, spectrum and retail locations.
