SkyPower Completes RESOP Refinancings

Goodmans LLP represented SkyPower Operations, Limited (“SkyPower”), a portfolio company of CIM Group Investments (“CIM”) in connection with the completion of five concurrent refinancings totalling $250 million by Nomura Securities International, Inc. (“Nomura”) of its seven renewable energy standard offer program (RESOP) projects located in various locations in Ontario.

SkyPower co-owns one of the projects with SunEdison Canada LLC, two with BlackRock Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Fund and one with Firelight Infrastructure Partners. This is a significant refinancing in the renewable energy sector in Ontario involving some of the oldest solar parks in the province.
