Nortel Networks was once best known as Canada's global telecommunications giant. Its business legacy, however, disappeared in the wake of its insolvency that followed on the heels of the 2008 financial crisis. But in the end Nortel did leave a legacy - to the world of cross-border litigation, particular­ly in the context of the insolvency of large, multinational businesses.
