As reported by comicbook, in June 2022, PepsiCo filed for two new trademark applications for the MTN DEW Pitch Black beverage, including for a stylized logo and a standard character mark (i.e., the broadest possible protection) for MTN DEW Zero Sugar Pitch Black.
These actions have led fans of the drink to believe PepsiCo is bringing back the beloved grape-flavoured beverage after it was pulled from most markets almost a decade ago.
The beverage was originally released as a limited time offering in 2004 for Halloween.
