DJ Verma is an associate in the Business Law Group at Goodmans. His practice is transaction-based, with a focus on corporate and securities law. He advises public and private companies, investors and other stakeholders on a variety of matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate finance and securities offerings, private equity transactions and corporate governance. He also assists clients with ongoing corporate and securities law matters.
DJ first joined Goodmans as a summer student in 2022, returned to the firm as an articling student, and became an associate in 2023.
Prior to joining Goodmans, he practiced for four years in the Corporate and M&A practice group at a leading law firm in India, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, private equity and venture capital transactions.
DJ obtained his law degree from Jindal Global Law School in India and completed his Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law at the University of Toronto.
